Cooking with cows milk ?

I know there is a 12month guild line with cows milk ,But is it safe to cook with for your baby ? I make custard for my twins i use formula as they are formula fed ,Im curious because on the Heinz custard tins they use full fat cows milk ? So i decided to google it and a site said after 8 months is fine for cooks as the milk is being cooked.

Can I use Milk in Recipes for Baby Food?

Using milk in a baked good recipe, like offering yogurt and cheese, will not risk weaning your baby to milk from formula and/or breast milk. Milk in a baked good, or otherwise cooked, recipe is considered safe for the baby who is 8 months of age+ and who has no familial history of dairy allergies. Yea cows milk doesn’t have the nutrients that formula or breast milk has or the iron or vitamins , I was just wondering about cooking i think it would be easier to make custard with milk rather then formula , My babies also have yogurt they are a week off 7months
