    I am cooking french onion soup and the recipe calls for beer. Would pumpkin beer ruin this recipie?

    I am making a crock pot french onion soup recipe. It simmers for 8 hours and calls for 12 fl oz of beer- all I have is pumpkin beer do you think this will ruin the recipe?
