unusual EASY recipe for dinner tomorrow night?

posted in fine cooking recipe |

The winner will be the recipe I select to make tomorrow night. Here is what I am looking for -
unusual - no chicken with cream of mushroom soup casserole
6 ingredients or less
extremely easy
Cooking method - oven, 1 skillet/pan or crock pot
somewhat spicy (or not) is fine
child friendly
one more detail - important
Must be one you have tried - please no copy/paste from the internet
Rich -
Throw the peppers and noodles in with what? Can you list all the ingredients? Sounds interesting.

4 things required: loaf garlic bread (thaw, if frozen) pepperoni, your favorite spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese.
Open garlic bread (use top for cover) and gently press down the inside of just the bottom. (not too much) Spread on thin layer of spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, cheese, put on the top of the bread and bake on 375 till golden brown.

Time required: enough to pull apart bread, press down bottom, spread sauce, slap on toppings and top and bake. Its so fast and extremely kid friendly. AND DELICIOUS!

throw some pizza peppers in it with some rice or egg noodles in the crock pot,, I usually make it in a covered skillet,

and put the noodles in near the end, or the rice also,

pepper/salt to taste, add a bit of milk if soup is too thick,

Add cooked wild rice pilaf (made in another pot, sorry)
Add 1 can crushed tomatoes (not drained)
    Add 1 can corn, drained
    Salt & Pepper, if desired
    (Any spices you may want).

    South of the border mac-n-cheese
1 prepared box of macaroni and cheese
    1 lb browned hamburger meat
    1 can rotel tomatoes

brown meat. drain. prepare mac-n-cheese. mix in rotel with meat and mac-n-cheese. sprinkle servings with a little shredded cheese if you would like.
My whole family loves this and it is super super easy! The rotel adds just the right amount of spice.

This a really pretty main dish salad that is one of the few dishes everyone in my picky family will eat: Serve with a nice loaf of warm French bread.

    Serves 4

    Ingredients:
1 bag mixed or spring greens
1 granny smith apple, grated (use the single hole on a box grater)
Container fresh strawberries, halved or quartered and tossed with a little sugar and/or fresh blueberries
4 oz crumbled blue cheese (although I confess I use alot more - we like blue cheese)
Raspberry Balsamic Vinaigrette (I like Consorzio brand - no fat and low sugar)
Flank steak and/or boneless, skinless chicken breast, grilled

Toss the first 5 ingredients together. Serve on a plate and top with thinly sliced flank steak or chicken breast.

Total time to prepare: about 15 minutes, or however long it takes you to grill the meat.

When I don’t have much time for dinner I usually do the following:

    3 chicken breast
1 box of Rice a Roni (any kind-but let’s just say we’re using Brocolli au gratin flaver)
    1 bag frozen brocolli
    1 onion
    1 green bell pepper
    1 tblspn crushed garlic

Season chickin on both sides w/ salt and pepper. Chop chicken breast into small square size pieces. Helps the chicken cook faster when the pieces are smaller. You don’t want them to be to small though.

Add chopped onion, bell pepper to skillet and saute in oil about 5 minutes. Add garlic saute another 2 minutes. Add chiken. Cook for about 15 minutes on medium high heat.

While chicken is cooking in another pan make the Rice A Roni according to package instructions. I think the instructions say to cook the Rice A Roni for about 20 minutes. After 10 minutes of cooking the rice add brocolli. Cook brocolli and rice additional 10 minutes.

Once the rice and broccoli mixture are done add chicken and serve.

It’s shredded chicken for tacos! 3 ingredients in your crock pot and you’re halfway to having dinner ready! It’s not too spicy and it’s very good! My kids like it fine. Enjoy!
