wrap it in foil, poke holes in it (so it doesn’t explode) bake @ about 400 degrees until a fork glides in it.
Toppings: Low fat sour cream, chives, a little margarine or butter if desired. That’s simple.
More complicated - a little cheese and a little bacon crumbled!
    Moderation is the key.

You scrub it with warm water, poke a couple of holes in the skin with a fork or knife, wrap with tin foil, and bake in the oven at 350 for one hour. Top with shredded cheese, bacon bits, green onion, etc.

There is nothing unhealthy about cooking it in the microwave!!

It will take an hour in the oven–a waste of fuel.

Top it with some broccoli & a bit of cheddar, or some salsa.

Oh you should bake it in the oven . It takes longer , but it’s better . You could put brocoli and cheese on top , tastee great or some vegetables. I like it with piles of sour cream and butter though. Maybe you should use low fat things. oh cook the vegetables sepperate , then after the potatoes done put the vegetables on top and enjoy!

If you want a "baked" potato, wash it really good, dry it well, poke it with a fork a half a dozen times (all the way around it) and wrap it in aluminum foil. Put it in the oven and bake it. You can do the same thing and throw it on the grill. When it’s done (give it a squeeze and see if it gives) split it open and put your goodies in it.
If you want healthy, a good broccoli cheese soup is soooo good (no need for margarine) or diced ham and shredded cheese (easy on the margarine or can substitute for the fat free stuff). You can also try chicken fajita meat with the grilled onions and bell pepper…yummy! (I swear.)
If you want to through caution to the wind…
    chili and cheese
butter, bacon and cheese (I’m not a sour cream person.)
Have you ever tried "Tater Toppers". You can get them in the produce section. (crushed potato chips, bacon bits, seasonings…ooooh!)
    Good luck!

You can rub oil on the outside of a potato after you wash it, then poke a few holes in it with a fork. Put it directly in your oven on the rack at 400 degrees for 1 hour.

I like to put cottage cheese on my baked potatoes, or steamed broccoli and cheddar cheese.
