take it out and stick a knife into the thickest part of the meat… somewhere in the thigh, near where the leg joins the rest of the bird. if the juices run clear it is done.

That’s hard, you started with a frozen bird? The skin may get dark while the interior is still cold.

Some ways to tell when the turkey is done:
    1. the meat is beginning to pull back from the ends of the drumsticks.
    2. The legs are easy to move around
    3. When pierced, the juices run clear.

I would protect the skin with the foil until you’re pretty sure it’s close to done. Then remove the foil and brown the skin with melted butter, salt and pepper. Try not to keep peeking into the oven.

When it turns brown and the thigh part separates from the body, however I have never prepared one frozen, I don’t know how long you will have to cook it. The inside of the turkey needs to be washed and cleaned, you never cook it frozen, sorry, you are also in danger of contracting salmonella because when you cook chicken or turkey at low temperature you can get sick.
